This project involved restoring the main entry steps of an active church facility in Washington, D.C. The existing concrete had deteriorated over time, creating safety concerns for daily foot traffic and special events. Our approach focused on structural integrity, clean finishes, and minimal disruption to ongoing church operations.
BuildLux carefully assessed the condition of the steps, surrounding landings, and access points before beginning work. All restoration efforts were completed with durability and long-term performance in mind, while respecting the character and function of the property.

The scope of work included surface preparation, concrete repair, edge rebuilding, and finishing to restore proper step geometry and traction. Special care was taken to ensure consistent riser heights and safe tread depth for daily use.
Work was scheduled and phased to maintain safe access for staff and visitors. All materials were selected to withstand weather exposure and high foot traffic typical of institutional facilities
Attention to detail was critical on this project. From surface texture to edge alignment, every step was restored to meet safety expectations while maintaining a clean, welcoming appearance. The finished result improved both functionality and curb appeal for the property.
This project reflects BuildLux’s experience working on institutional sites where safety, accountability, and precision matter most.
